Out for Business Community

Out4Business is the home for LGBTQ+ students at Wharton. Our primary goal is to create a safe space and vibrant community for all LGBTQ+ students and to help our members develop professionally, socially, and academically. Students of all gender identities and sexual orientations are invited to join.

Intersectional Identities

We know that it is extremely  important to support those with intersectional identities, including women, nonbinary people, and people of color. In addition to events for all members of Out4Business, we regularly schedule programming for those with intersectional identities including dinners, special events, and social outings.

Philadelphia Queer Life

Gay life is centered in the "Gayboorhood", a charming area with narrow, tree-lined, cobblestone streets only a short walk from where most Wharton students live. The neighborhood is active day and night with a variety of acclaimed restaurants, boutiques, coffees shops, bars and clubs. You will often find a group of Wharton students at Woody's any night of the week or at Bob & Barbara's, Bump, Tavern on Camac, Sister's or one of the other favorite nightspots in the area after Wharton Pub each Thursday!

Allies

Wharton strongly believes that LGBTQ+ visibility is an important part of creating a diverse community of MBAs. To that end, Out4Business works hard to build and support its network of straight allies. Beginning with our annual White Party (a social event that is sold out annually and attended by close to 75% of the student population) Wharton's ally network permeates all levels of the student body.

Being an ally is a verb, not an adjective. Being part of O4B has given me the opportunity to learn, to make amazing friends, to engage in exciting events, and to help support important causes. One of the best aspects of Wharton is how inclusive the students are, and that’s exemplified within O4B.
